Hi to all of you! Welcome to week 9! Our PN classes continued the theme Family this week, and we got to talk about siblings and what we can do at home with them. During our role-playing, we had a lot of fun pretending to be brothers and sisters. We did many things together like reading books and sharing a mat for our “nap”! For English, we focused on revising letter C and letter D. We had a revision game during the lesson where we needed to take the different things out from the mystery box and sorted them into the correct letter baskets. We were all able to sort them correctly! For Math, we learnt how to use the words ‘big’ and ‘small’ to compare the sizes of various toys. To reinforce that concept further, we played a sorting game by placing the big toys in the big hula hoop and the small toys in the small hula hoop. What another amazing week it was! Hello everyone. Welcome to week 9 of learning at ABC. The students were filled with joy as they returned to school after a delightful extended weekend. For Cambridge, we embarked on a fresh topic of My Body. The students familiarized themselves with the names of various body parts, such as eyes, nose, mouth, head, hands, fingers, neck, shoulders, and toes. The K1 students enjoyed singing Head Shoulders Knees and Toes song. For Phonics, we introduced letters R and S this week. For Critical Thinking, we engaged in discussions about Halloween, including when it is celebrated. The students explored the customs associated with Halloween, such as trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, and home decorations. We also made a Halloween-themed craft, which the students thoroughly enjoyed. For Math, we introduced the shape; triangle and discussed how many sides it has. Additionally, the students practiced counting up to the number 6.

Welcome back! This week is another week filled with learning and fun.
For English this week, our K2 students recalled the farm animals they’ve been learning by trying to read out the words. In addition, they learned about the names of the baby animals by matching them to their corresponding mommies and daddies. We found out that baby ducks are called ducklings and baby horses are called foals.
To make it more challenging in our Math lessons, K2 students were given individual sets of numbers from 1 to 20 and their task was to put these numbers in order. After that, they were asked to practice reading some of these numbers out loud.
As the weather changes and the leaves are turning colours, it’s the perfect time to learn about Autumn in Critical Thinking. We played a game and learned about some of the things we can see during this season. We also discussed how the mornings and evenings feel like the past few days and found out that Autumn is when the hot weather goes away and it becomes cooler and drier. Welcome to week 9! In this week, our K3 students got to learn about autumn in our Critical Thinking class. We read a story called ‘There was an old lady who swallowed some leaves’ together and we had a great laugh! She swallowed so many leaves and in the end she sneezed everything out and made a scarecrow!
For Math, our students have continued to learn about symmetry. This time, they tried to draw the lines of symmetry, it means if we draw a line down the middle of a shape, the two sides are mirrored and can be folded together!
For Cambridge, we started a new topic this week and the K3 students talked about where they live. We can now talk about where and what the buildings are on a map!

主題----「我愛上學」
今週是主題「我愛上學」的第三週,老師與幼兒一起認識書包内的物品及其功用。其後,老師與幼兒一起嘗試自行收拾書包。在茶點時間,幼兒能嘗試在書包内拿出毛巾、水瓶和餐盒,然後安靜坐在椅子上等候老師派發食物。茶點結束後,幼兒能自行把桌上的物品收進書包内。可見,幼兒又掌握了一樣自理技能,他們成長了!
另外,老師與幼兒一起唸讀兒歌《我愛幼稚園》老師向幼兒分享兒歌內容,並與幼兒一起唸讀兒歌。接著,老師與幼兒製作幼稚園的圖工,為幼稚園貼上校徽、校名和加上裝飾。最後,幼兒能模仿老師讀出句子:「我愛幼稚園!」。
幼兒認讀「耳」字,老師先教導幼兒辨認「耳」字的外形特徵,並分享耳朵的用途。老師與幼兒玩遊戲,幼兒嘗試用手掩著耳朵後觀察聲音的變化,用耳朵聆聽不同動物的聲音。課堂中,幼兒學會如何保護耳朵,並嘗試找出不同動物的耳朵然後說出「耳」。
學習目的:
1. 學習收拾書包的技能
2. 認讀「耳」字並了解其字意
3. 嘗試唸讀兒歌:《我愛幼稚園》

主題----「認識自己」
今週展開新的主題是「認識自己」,老師運用鏡子讓幼兒認識臉上的五官,之後與幼兒玩「找找眼耳口鼻」的小遊戲,學眼耳口鼻的位置,再運用影片和圖片學習保護五官的方法,例如要刷牙和不要用手擦眼睛等等。
嘗試用不同的小遊戲認識五官的用途,例如聽不同的叫聲,猜出是哪種動物,也嘗試用鼻子嗅出杯內的東西,嘗試說出是甜甜的、酸酸的和香香的形容詞,布些幼兒更發現杯子內的是檸檬,幼兒十分投入不同的探索遊戲。
學習目的:
1.認識自己臉上的五官。
2.能把眼、耳、口和鼻貼在臉上。
3.學習保護五官的方法。

主題----「動物」
今週展開了新的主題「動物」,幼兒紛紛踴躍地分享自己最喜愛的動物。通過課堂活動,他們更了解到動物的外形特徵和習性。並嘗試模仿動物們的叫聲。其次,在老師的引導下,小朋友開始思考動物與人類之間的關係,例如牛為人類提供牛奶。
另外,這週學習了一首新兒歌「熱鬧的農場」。小朋友根據兒歌的內容去創造動作,並嘗試改寫兒歌。除此以外,老師與幼兒一起重溫獨體字,並讓他們指出哪些字在結構上不能夠分拆開。
學習目的:
1) 能口頭創作句子:(小牛)在農場裏吃草
2) 說出農場裏有甚麼動物
3) 培養感恩動物對人類帶來的用處

今週已踏入主題「動物」的最後一週,幼兒探索一般卵生和胎生動物的名稱、特徵及習性。老師利用圖片,讓他們認識不同種類動物的異同,他們也嘗試分辨哪些動物是胎生,哪些是卵生。
然後,老師播放影片介紹動物會過冬,讓小朋友知道有些動物會冬眠。此外,老師與小朋友進行投票活動,選出他們心目中最喜歡動物,並利用統計表展示。過程中,他們分享喜歡的原因。
學習目的:
1. 認識一般卵生爬行類和兩棲類動物的名稱、特徵及習性
2. 認識一般胎生哺乳類動物的名稱、特徵及習性
3. 知道有些動物會冬眠
4. 學會透過投票方式作簡單統計
