Highlights of the Week (24/25 Term 2 Week 23)

This week was full of exciting learning adventures! Our little ones explored the letter Z through fun activities. First, they created their own "Zoo" by sticking animal figures on a big letter Z, learning words like zebra, zoo, and zookeeper! Then, they practiced zipping and unzipping bags, strengthening their fine motor skills while having fun. In Math, we mixed colours like magic! The kids used paint to discover that red + yellow = orange and blue + red = purple—they were amazed at how colours transform! For our Theme, we talked about growing up and moving to K1 soon.  We also welcomed summer with a fun sunshine collage, decorating rays with bright colours while chatting about beach trips and ice cream treats! We’re so proud of how much our pre-nursery stars have grown—K1, here they come!

Hello K1 families,

What a fantastic week we've had in our K1 classrooms! We are so incredibly proud of all our wonderful students. They have shown so much energy and happiness in all our activities.

These classrooms were filled with laughter as we learned some fun new games together. We all loved playing Hot Potato, Musical Chairs, and 4 Corners with our friends! Ask your child which game was their favorite.

Alongside all the fun, our amazing students also worked hard on their skills. We practiced our phonics sounds and our handwriting. It is wonderful to see how far they've come with writing their own names now!

With summer coming, we learned about sun safety and what happens if we don’t remember our hats and sunscreen to play safely outside. The excitement is building as we near the end of the term and get ready for the summer holiday!

K2

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another exciting week in K2!

This week in Phonics, we explored the “le” sound. We had lots of fun playing games to practice words with “le”, and we even got to create our own silly sentences! It was so much fun using our imagination. In our Cambridge lessons, we talked about our favorite activities when we go to the beach. We loved sharing what we like to do and listened to our friends’ ideas.

Since we are now confident with numbers, we played fun games to compare which number is bigger in a set. We also reviewed odd numbers all the way up to 100. It was a great way to practice our Math skills! With the hot weather this week, our Critical Thinking lessons were extra fun and refreshing with our cool Ice Fishing Experiment! We loved getting hands-on and thinking carefully about how to “fish for ice”.

We also want to say a big congratulation to our K3 friends on their graduation – well done! We are so proud of you.

今週的主題是「快樂的假期」,隨著暑假即將來臨,幼兒有機會參加各種豐富多彩的活動,讓他們的暑期生活更加充實和有趣。在課堂上,老師首先詳細介紹了各種不同的暑假活動,並展示了一些相關的圖片和影片,讓幼兒對這些活動有更直觀的了解。

其後,老師帶領幼兒們實際嘗試這些活動,讓他們親身體驗每個活動的樂趣和挑戰。接著,老師與幼兒們一起進行了一些集體遊戲,如野餐活動,老師與幼兒一同在課堂上享受美食,盡享假期的快樂。最後,老師安排了一個投票環節,讓幼兒們選出他們最喜歡的暑假活動。

在認字方面,老師與幼兒們首先通過認識沙灘的活動,從而開始學習「沙」字的字形和字義。接著,老師向幼兒們介紹沙的不同用途,讓他們了解沙子在日常生活中的重要性。例如,老師展示了一些圖片和影片,介紹沙子在建築中的用途,如製作水泥和玻璃;在工藝中的用途,如製作沙瓶畫和沙雕;以及在遊樂中的用途,如沙灘上的遊戲和運動。

K1

主題:「快樂的假期」-遊戲樂趣多

今週繼續是主題「快樂的假期」,老師介紹了不同的桌上遊戲的種類,例如: 骰子遊戲、圖板遊戲等等,小朋友更分享他們玩桌上遊戲的經驗,還邀請小同伴一起嘗試玩層層疊,他們享受遊戲過程的樂趣。另外,老師邀請小朋友進行科學遊戲,透過「彈力泡泡」影片再親自嘗試實驗是否成功,他們都樂在其中十分投入活動。老師介紹一些合作遊戲,把幼兒分組完成合作遊戲,過程中他們學習到需要溝通和互相幫助才能完成,讓幼兒知道玩遊戲時的過程比結果更重要,明白輸贏並不是最重要,能投入遊戲及享受過程才是最有樂趣。

 

學習目的:

1) 認識桌上遊戲的種類。

2) 嘗試與幼兒合作完成遊戲活動。

3) 樂意與別人一起進行遊戲。

K2

主題----「快樂的我」

「快樂的我」是今學年最後的主題,透過故事中小猴子遇到不同事情,令他產生不同的情緒,有時感到快樂、有時感到生氣,體驗情緒帶給自己不同感受。老師與幼兒分享早上遇到些快樂的事情,是幫助別人找到前往目的地的港鐵路線,接著請幼兒嘗試分享有關的生活經驗,關心別人自己也會感到快樂的情緒,有幼兒說:「我剛幫同學抬起水壺,我也很快樂」、「我幫媽媽拿東西」、「有時媽媽叫我起來,會感到很生氣」、「曾經在夢中遇上壞人,起來後感到恐懼」,最後讓幼兒照一照鏡子後,將表情畫在臉譜上,讓幼兒知道不同情緒,臉上會有不同的表情。

 

學習目的:

1. 能理解《你的心情好嗎?》的故事內容

2. 能認識不同的情緒

3. 引導幼兒逐漸養成積極樂觀的生活態度

4.學習正確的方式排解不開心的情緒

K3

主題:「小一生活」-愉快的幼稚園生活

今週展開新主題「小一生活」。小朋友們快畢業,要升上小學了,老師希望透過主題讓幼兒了解小學的生活,並分享完成幼稚園階段的感受。

透過相片及影片分享,老師與小朋友一起回顧在幼稚園生活的點滴。小朋友都紛紛表達不捨,並對校長、老師們及姐姐一直以來的用心照顧表達感謝。

老師最後與小朋友討論與同學保持聯絡的方法,例如打電話、寫信、發電郵、利用社交網站等。


學習目的:

(1) 抒發完成幼稚園階段的感受 

(2) 認識與朋友保持聯絡的方法

(3) 學習書寫自己的聯絡方法
