Hey there friends! It’s our final week before the Easter holidays, and we had such a blast! We kicked it off with our favourite - the alphabet, and learned all about the letter S by slithering like snakes, shining like the sun and sparkling like the stars! We’ve learned so many letters already, and we’re getting really good at remembering and finding all of them. Of course, we also did a fun lesson all about Easter – hopping around like the Easter bunny and cracking open some Easter eggs. We wrapped up our final week at school with some fun math activities, learning all about long and short. It’s so funny to see all our favourite classroom things become long, long, long, or short, short, short! Our PNs had such a great week, and we’re all so excited to see what happens when we come back after our holidays.

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to our ABC blog!
This week in Phonics, we focused on blending with the sound /ck/. The students practiced sound decoding through fun worksheets and enjoyed a lot of blending activities.
In our Cambridge lessons, we reviewed vocabulary related to jobs. The students practiced asking and answering questions such as “Is he/she a …?” with responses like “Yes, she is” or “No, she isn’t.”
For Math, we reviewed patterns ABAB and ABCABC. The students had a great time creating their own patterns.
As Easter is just around the corner, we held a fun Easter Egg Hunt around the school, which brought lots of joy and excitement. For Book Character Day, the students were entertained by a fantastic skit performance by the teachers.

What an exciting week of new learning! This week our K2 students continued their lesson on Clocks in our Math lessons. Last week, we learned about the term "o'clock" in relation to digital clocks and this week, we're expanding our understanding by exploring the same term in the context of analog clocks. Students discovered that when referring to the term "o'clock," the long hand points to the number 12. To test for their understanding, teachers called out different times and students need to put the correct numbers in the digital clock and point the correct hands to the correct numbers for the analog clock. What a great exercise!
For Critical Thinking this week, we continued to practise devotedly for our Mother’s Day song. We have also prepared Mother’s Day cards in which our students put on butterfly designs and decorating the cards with pictures and write messages for their mummies. The students put in a lot of effort practising and making detailed drawings ready to be shown to their mummies on the Mother’s Day concert. It will truly be a day to remember!

Welcome to another week of learning in our K3 class! This week for Critical Thinking, we continued our project by planning what we want to share in our presentation. We created a flow chart to help us with all the information we have about our project. We wrote about the reasons why we chose this topic and the materials we used. We’re almost done with our project and are so excited for our presentation day.
This week for Physical Play, we learned about dribbling. We took turns seeing how many times we can dribble the ball and created our own games using the new skills we learned.
We dived into a new topic called Under the Sea during our Cambridge lesson. We learned some familiar animal words and learned new words like anchor. We did quick research on what an anchor is and familiarise ourselves of the use of it. We also took turns finishing a puzzle about our new topic.

今週是主題「交通工具」的第一週,老師與幼兒認識馬路上常見的交通工具,並介紹香港的陸上公共交通工具,包括小巴、的士、巴士、電車、地鐵等。老師透過圖片、模型與幼兒進行互動,讓幼兒辨識這些交通工具的名稱和外觀,知道小巴、的士和巴士在馬路上行駛,電車和地鐵則在路軌上行駛。
然後,老師透過故事和角色扮演,讓幼兒扮演乘客和模擬乘坐巴士。過程中,幼兒學習排隊等候上車、上車後安坐座位上、用八達通付車資等。
另外,老師和幼兒唸兒歌《小汽車》,並扮演小司機駕駛汽車。幼兒能夠透過唸兒歌的方式了解汽車在馬路行駛的規則,知道小汽車要遵守交通規則,只有在綠燈亮時才能前進,紅燈亮時必須停下。
學習目的:
1.認識在馬路上常見的交通工具名稱
2.知道乘坐巴士的程序
3.能唸讀兒歌《小汽車》

本週我們探索海上和空中的交通工具,老師介紹了各種海上交通工具,包括天星小輪、渡海小輪和郵輪等,讓幼兒認識這些不同種類的船隻。此外,我們邀請幼兒分享他們乘坐船舶的經驗。
除了海上交通工具,老師還透過圖書《我會搭飛機》與幼兒深入探討乘坐飛機的相關規則和程序,包括登機流程、安全措施等。活動有助幼兒確保旅行的舒適和安全,同時也能讓他們對搭乘飛機有更深入的了解和認識,可以建立幼兒對飛行旅行的信心和認識,讓他們在未來的飛行體驗中更加放心和愉快。
學習目的:
(1) 認識渡海小輪的特徵
(2) 認識飛機是空中交通工具
(3) 學習乘坐飛機的規則和程序

主題--「認識世界」
本週是「認識世界」第二週,老師利用簡報介紹各國的食物,請幼兒透過討論這些食物是哪國家的食物,讓幼兒分享在哪裡嚐試這些食物、喜歡這食物的味道。
老師也利用各國食物帶出不同國家在慶祝新年活動,有些與香港慶祝活動相同,有些會不同,例如介紹泰國新年活動之一潑水節,幼兒十分感興趣,有些表示有參與潑水節的經驗,他們亦表示曾經到訪泰國,及其他國家的經驗。
另外,幼兒從復活節的故事當中,認識到復活節是一個喜樂的日子,家長可在家中與幼兒一同找一找復活節的物品,帶回學校與同學一同分享!
學習目的:
1. 認識各國的新年文化及習俗
2. 認識不同國家的食物
3. 會為新生命感到喜樂高興

主題: 「交通工具」與「復活節」
本週,老師帶領幼兒展開「船與海上交通」的主題學習。小朋友認識了船的外型、設施及用途,並了解乘搭渡輪的程序與安全規則。同時,幼兒探索了渡輪與日常生活的關係,認識了不同種類的船隻及其功能。
此外,他們初步接觸世界地圖,並學習了指南針的使用方法,感覺新奇又有趣!
同時,我們也介紹了復活節的意義和由來,讓幼兒了解這個節日是為了紀念耶穌的復活,並象徵希望與重生。孩子們透過活動認識復活節傳統,如彩蛋與兔子的象徵意義,增添了節日的趣味與文化學習。
學習目的:
1)認識船的外型、設施及用途
2)初步認識世界地圖
3)知道復活節的意義和由來
