What an exciting week we’ve had in ABC! Our Project Week is going strong, and we are absolutely loving the chance to explore our own ideas. Every day, we eagerly work on our special projects, showing creativity and independence--- it’s wonderful to see our confidence grow!

In our Magical Creatures theme, we had a fascinating time learning about float and sink with the mermaids’ treasure. We loved guessing which objects would float and sink! We also completed our handprint fairy glitter wings craft. We had a chance to decorate our own fairy with colorful glitter and sparkles. Now, our classroom is filled with beautiful fairies!

For English, we focused on the letter Y, learning words like yellow, yarn, yo-yo, and yoga. The biggest hit was our yoga session. We had so much fun stretching like trees, hissing like snakes, and giggling with our friends. It was a perfect way to combine movement and learning!

From science experiments to crafts and yoga, this week was packed with laughter and discovery. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!

K1

We are so excited to step into our last month of K1 as we have so many amazing activities lined up. In Cambridge, we are revising the topics we have learned throughout the year. It’s been wonderful to see how much progress we have made throughout the year as we are able to go back and do exercises from our Superminds Starters Book that challenge our fine motor and listening skills. In phonics, we are practicing decoding, where we listen to a single sound or two sound blend and write the sounds we hear. Some of us are also practicing independently writing our names and class on our classwork and homework; please do have a look at their English home assignments this week, we are so incredibly proud of the effort everyone put in. In Math this week, we tried to make grey using paint. This was a true experiment as it was so tricky to get the right proportion of black and white so we had to keep adding paint until we were satisfied with our shade of grey. Our week ended with a colourful summer themed birthday party where we enjoyed lots of cake and games to celebrate our summer babies.

K2

This week in K2 has been full of fun and exciting adventures!

We started our week with a silly sentence challenge during phonics, using fun word puzzles to help us decode and understand new words. We also learned a special sound, “Kn,” and practiced saying words like “Knee.” In Cambridge, we talked about what activities we can do and what we can’t do, which helped us learn more about each other and what everyone enjoys!

Our math lessons were so much fun! We used blocks to see how tall different objects are and even measured how tall our teachers are! We also continued exploring odd numbers, counting, and sorting with lots of giggles and teamwork. During Critical Thinking time, we shared our dream summer plans — maybe going to the beach, having picnics, or playing in the sunshine. We loved hearing about dream everyone’s summer plan!

This week, some friends brought in their amazing toys for Show and Tell. It was wonderful to see all the different toys and hear the stories behind them! We also had a special Summer-themed birthday party to celebrate our friends born in July and August. It was a fantastic way to end our week.

We’ve had such a super fun week, and we can’t wait to see what next week brings! See you soon!

K3

It’s with bitter sweet feelings, as we are now officially in our final month of kindergarten. Our K3 students have worked so hard this year, and we cannot wait for the culmination of all our efforts with the graduation performance and presentations. We appreciate all the assistance this year and throughout your time with us here at ABC. Thank you again to all the mommies and daddies out there, especially our class moms and dads, we could not do it without you. As for what we did at ABC this week, for our Math this week, we reviewed counting up to 100 and identifying odd and even numbers. We also continued to work on our project and presentations this week, and we are almost ready for our big day. We have been practicing our performance everyday and it looks to be a huge hit. We cannot wait until the big graduation day. We hope to see you all there!
